Trucks (Usborne Touchy Feely) Review
Our two year old son loves cars and trucks to begin with, but he truly enjoys this book. Each page has different trucks with different textures. It’s excellent for him to flip through on his own. I have found, when reading on his own, that he tends to bend or tear pages in other books that have flip-ups – so this book is one that I can leave out, he uses, and the damage to the pages are minimal, if any. So far, there’s only one small tear, on one page. He likes to look at the pictures while I’m spooning him yogurt. I like having books around that he will actually use, and this is one of them. We have other books that may only have one picture of one truck on one page – and he gets stuck there and only wants to look at the truck. So, this book, having many trucks, gets him through it from cover-to-cover. He looks at all the pages. If you have a boy, this book is for them.

Animal Hide-And-Seek (Touchy Feely Flap Book) Review
This book blew me away, the flaps are a stiff cardboard, there are many, many textural components and the pages are very thick. There are only 5 open pages (the illustrations cover 2 pages). Each one contains adorable illustrations of a dog, cow, hens, etc. It is super-cute and durable and I know it’s unlikely for this to be torn by my 17 mth old. I, as someone who has used packaging tape to secure flaps from being torn off, HIGHLY recommend this as a fun book truly designed for toddlers or younger!

That’s Not My Monster… (Usborne Touchy Feely) Review
Despite the use of certain adjectives that are not particularly helpful ‘bobbly nose for example’… what is bobbly? This book is a gem. Each page has brilliant simple color drawings that capture children’s attention and tactile places sometimes on both pages to feel. My kids are particular fans of the Bobbly nose and Bumpy paws. Hopefully when they’re older they won’t be as afraid of monsters because they befriended these at such a young age.
Our kids are 13 month old now.. but they’ve watched this book since about 6 months and started touching as soon as they could. Now they know exactly where the touching spots are on each page and have started noticing the little mouse too.
This book holds up well if you read it under supervision, but when we left this book in the ‘pen’ with triplets slober disentegrated some parts of it. It still works well the board book is pretty sturdy we just have a few places of the glossy finish that were ruined nothing dangerous came off or anything like that.

My 8 month old daughter likes this book a lot because the pictures are simple and colorful and the carboard pages are three times as thick as some other board books, making it easy for her to flip through them. The textures are also interesting and sturdy – minimal fuzz stuck to her fingers when she pulls on the monsters’ fur or eyebrows. Highly recommended!

This is a really cute book. Vibrant colors with textures on every page. Having said that, this was never my son’s favorite book. He will spend some time looking at it and feeling the textures though.
