I’m still not sure why the title is “The please and thank you book” ’cause the only things that doesn’t teach is to say “please” and “thank you”, but I love it none the less.
The rhymes are so cute and easy I was more happy then my daughter to read it.
I think I will buy other book from this collection…simple, fast and fun!

Great for CARS fans who are aching for a new story about what happened AFTER the CARS movie ended. This is a typical Golden Book – illustrations are OK and pages are hard to turn even after pressed down. But the story begins with how happy Lightening is to have his racing headquarters in Radiator Springs and to be living near his best friends Mater and Sally. Sally is taking a trip for a few days and she asks Lightening to “Look Out for Mater” while she is away. Lightening and Mater don’t really play it safe and they have a great time racing around the gravel pit Sally wanted them to stay away from. They get chased by a new Bulldozer character “Big Bull” . Mater ends up in a bit of trouble and needs some repair work from Doc in the end. All 3 of our kids loved the story and my 4 yr old son went to sleep with the book tucked under his arm.

A kangaroo prays for a baby to call ger own as she watches other families. An overcrowded nest allows a baby bird to become her baby and they now can do all the family things the kangaroo has dreamed of. They now pray together to thank God for their new life together. Very cute illustrations. Quality pages. Mostly the Roos point of view, but also the birth mother’s need to find a warm and happy home for her littlest bird. No drama, just a nice toddler-preschool story to answer early questions and to relate to as an adopted child.

My son is completly taken by this classic story. He ask for it to be read every day. He can quote the story almost word for word at 26mths. I like that it is published in the USA and take little room in the book case (thus leaving room for more books :0)). Golden books remain a classic true and tried book maker.
